All in all U is a brilliant film that is well worth seeing. You'll be left on the edge of your seat as you wonder what is coming next.
Twists and turns will at times leave you a tad confused but just add to the emotion that you have for the characters.
This is the sort of film you have to truly see in the cinema with surround sound, however, I can imagine that the DVD will be superb!

Edit Did You Know? Trivia The film was shot with an R-rating in mind. Bullet impacts were originally quite bloody, but in post-production nearly all the blood was digitally erased to get a more commercially viable PG rating.
Knowing this, no German submarine commander would have ever wasted four precious torpedoes firing blindly, submerged, the periscope useless, at another submarine the captured U , especially since the torpedoes were incapable of changing course after being fired.
